In 2020, we undergone construction during covid to replace the wooden planks underneath our courts, replace our old and worn mats with brand new mats shipped straight from China and even added a second floor. This process began in March 2020 and lasted until May 2020.

We made the decision to replace our wooden floors and badminton mats after more than a decade of use

The preparations to redo our badminton court starts from the ground up. We tear away at the wooden layers until we have an empty floor free of nails and wooden debris

At NYBC, we understand the importance of an sturdy and reliable playing surface and that’s why we used two layers of wood in order to provide a top notch experience for our players.

In order to provide a comfortable experience for our players, we wanted to expand the resting area by adding a second floor.

Brand new wooden planks and boards were brought from Home Depot and were painstakingly brought onto the truck one board at a time and unloaded one board at a time

In order to provide a quality badminton experience at NYBC, we first put down a base layer of plywood in order to create a sturdy foundation for our courts

We begin to roll out the badminton mats onto the wooden boards providing the right amount of cushion and grip for every player.
