In late 2023, our wooden floors began to deteriorate due to water damage and mold. As a result, in order to provide a safe and comfortable experience for our players, we began to renovate the whole gym. The most important change from previous renovations was the change from a wooden base for the courts towards a plastic base, similar to what we use at BKBC.

In order to provide a better experience for our players, in January 2024, we began renovations to replace the court mats, and the flooring underneath the courts

Once the court mats were removed, we were able to begin removing the wooden planks and transporting them onto a metal dumpster

To provide our players with a firm and even feeling on the courts. Once we removed all wooden planks from the facility, we began to even out the floor by filling in various holes with cement and cutting down any nails sticking out. This would give our new plastic flooring a level ground for our players.

While NYBC was under construction, the new courts, custom made for NYBC, from China were stored at BKBC. Here we have our coaches bringing the courts from BKBC to NYBC

We began by removing the mats and the surrounding furniture in order to get easier access towards the wooden flooring

The metal dumpster was often filled to the brim with mountain of wooden planks

Here we have our founder and head coach, Chibing Wu, leveling out the ground in order to provide a firm and even ground for our players

Once at NYBC, we began putting our new courts on our new plastic mats allowing us to provide a comfortable feeling for our players.
